ONLY THE BEST PEOPLE: ROY MOORE

It would be really strange for any president of the United States to be on such good terms with an alleged pedophile with close ties to white supremacism.

But, in the case of Donald Trump, it would be strange if he wasn’t.

There’s no evidence that Trump is a pedophile, but his scent certainly seems to attract pedophiles — accused pedophiles, admitted pedophiles, and other kinds of pedophiles.

Milo Yiannopoulos,

And Roy Moore.

And there are more (stay tuned).

Moore isn’t just a creep who likes to hit on teenage girls, he’s also a racist, like Trump, who questioned whether Barack Obama was born in the United States.

Moore is also a religious fanatic who believes that America should be governed by religious law and not by the U.S. Constitution.  He served as chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court before being removed from office for judicial misconduct for, among other things, insisting that the Ten Commandments be posted in public places.

He was then elected as chief justice and again removed for telling judges to continue to enforce the state’s ban on same-sex marriages after the U.S. Supreme Court had made same-sex marriages legal.

Moore won the GOP nomination to fill the vacancy for the Senate seat of Jeff Sessions, who became U.S. attorney general in the Trump Administration.

Trump endorsed Moore amid accusations by several women during the 2017 Senate campaign that he pursued them for sex when he was in his 30s and they were teenagers. When asked if he dated teenagers when he was in his 30s, he issued the following nondenial denial, “not generally, no.”

You’re asked about dating 14-year-olds and your answer is “not generally, no.”

One woman said that Moore sexually assaulted her when she was 14. Senate Republicans, including Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, called on Moore to quit the race.

Trump, however, enthusiastically endorsed the birther and accused sexual predator and pedophile.

Comic Jimmy Kimmell said Trump’s first choice was the convicted pedophile Jared from the Subway commercials.

Trump’s daughter Ivanka told the Associated Press she had “no reason to doubt” the accounts of the women and that “there’s a special place in hell for people who prey on children.”

Moore’s Democratic opponent Doug Jones used Ivana Trump’s comments in a TV ad.

Moore lost the election to Democrat Doug Jones.

Eighty percent of voting white evangelicals selected Moore in the election — in part because Trump told them to.

So evangelicals are willing to vote for a pedophile if a sexual abuser tells them to?
