As of August 6, two-thirds of GOP voters believe Donald Trump won the 2020 Presidential Election.
Trump’s own director of election security called it “the most secure in American history.” Dozens of courts have rejected Trump’s lawsuits challenging the outcome.
Trump was impeached and has been indicted for trying to subvert democracy.
What do we know about Trump voters?
Well, they come from the worst-educated states and live in states where white supremacists are revising history textbooks.
They believe that the climate crisis, the pandemic vaccine, and the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection are hoaxes. They believe slavery was a jobs program, professional wrestling is real, and white males are being discriminated against.
They want to restrict citizenship to immigrants but probably couldn’t pass a US citizenship test.
They believe that Barack Obama was not born in this country, but that Trump — a pathological liar, congenital cheater, serial adulterer, psychopath, rapist, swindler, bully, misogynist, racist, and raving lunatic — was sent by God.
They believe in The Bible but only those passages that preach hatred and bigotry, not the thousands of passages that preach kindness, love, acceptance, goodness, and peace.
They believe in law and order – but only when white police kill unarmed black men.
They believe in the United States – but only when it acts like Russia.
