Adam Hageman, a Trump appointee who worked for the U.S. Commerce Department, was sentenced to 5 ½ years in federal prison in October 2022 after pleading guilty to the possession of child pornography.
Inside Business reported that prosecutors said Hageman urged people in an online group to rape children and asked members to share child pornography with him.
According to court documents, Hageman also requested that the members of the group find “a dad with a young kid he will rent out to us.”

Politico reported that before Hageman went to work for the Commerce Department, he was an events administrator for Turning Point USA — the far-right conservative nonprofit organization founded by Charlie Kirk.
