It is worth remembering that Donald Trump won the 2016 Presidential Election because he ran against Democrat Hillary Clinton, a candidate who was as unpopular as he was and who ran perhaps the worst presidential campaign in modern politics.

Yes, Trump is a demagogue who ran a nasty, racist, misogynistic, fear-based, fact-free, and lie-filled campaign.

But Clinton knew Trump.

She knew who he was before the campaign and should have known what he would be like on a campaign.

Clinton should have run her campaign with that in mind.

Instead, she ran for president from the perspective of someone who was entitled to be president. She ran her campaign like she was coaching a football team that was ahead by four touchdowns with five minutes to go in the game.

And she lost.
