Ralph Shortey, a former Oklahoma state senator who served as the state’s campaign chair for Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, pleaded guilty to one count of child-sex trafficking in September 2018, the Daily Oklahoman reported.
A judge sentenced Shortey to 15 years in prison for what was referred to as “a sexual tryst with a teenage boy” at a hotel early March 2017.
Stortey, a married father of four, ran for the Legislature as a “family values conservative.”
He resigned from the Legislature after he was charged with a number of felonies, including engaging in child prostitution.
