There is so much you can say about Andy Biggs, GOP congressman from Arizona – and none of it is good.
He’s one of the most repulsive members of Congress in a Congress than is historically repulsive.
He’s a lying, homophobic, seditious, ignoramus who denies climate change and the U.S. Constitution with equal measures of contempt.
He conspired to overthrow the results of the 2020 Presidential Election.
He voted against the COVID relief bill.
Biggs calls himself a self-made millionaire:
He won $10 million in the Publishers House Sweepstakes (really.)
He used that money to run for Congress and to advance such right-wing causes as working with anti-gay hate organizations, seeking to ban all abortion without exception for incest or rape, and denying the existence of climate change, claiming without evidence that scientists were manipulating research. He was among those urging President Trump to leave the Paris Climate accords.
Biggs supports Laura Loomer, an anti-Muslim conspiracy theorist whose opinions are so extreme she’s been banned from Twitter and Christopher Farrell, an anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist whose opinions are so extreme he’s been banned from Fox News.

Biggs’ friends are so extreme they’re permanently banned from Fox News.
Let that sink in.
Biggs once spoke at a meeting of the Oath Keepers, a far-right militia organization, where one of the group’s founders, called for U.S. Sen. John McCain of Arizona to be “hung by the neck until dead” for not being conservative enough.
When the House of Representatives voted almost unanimously to pass a Covid-19 funding bill, Biggs cast one of the two dissenting votes because it provided funding for homosexual couples in domestic partnerships.
The Daily Kos said this about Biggs: “This man is enough of a partisan ***hole that he even was one of two members of Congress who voted against the Covid-19 funding bill, because, and we’re not making this up… he objected that the bill regarded ‘couples’ in households should include same sex ones. That’s right, he would rather let a plague spread across the nation than acknowledge that gay people could be in relationships.”
Biggs, the chairman of the right-wing House Freedom Caucus, was an enthusiastic defender of President Trump’s “Stop the Steal Movement,” where he apparently relied on the same sources to question the results of the 2020 Presidential Election than he did to question the existence of climate change.
Conservative activist Ali Alexander, who helped organize the “Stop the Steal” protest on January 6, claimed Biggs and other congressmen, Paul Gosar and Mo Brooks, and he “schemed up” the plan to pressure Congress to reject the results of the Electoral College.
A government watchdog, Campaign for Accountability, asked the House Office of Congressional Ethics to investigate Biggs and another Arizona congressman, Paul Gosar, for their part in the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol.
Michelle Kuppersmith, the group’s executive director, said Biggs and Gosar “deliberately misled Trump supporters and actively encouraged them to believe they could stop the certification of the election results. Their words helped light the match, resulting in death and destruction at the US Capitol.” In addition, Kuppersmith accused the congressmen of inciting the riot as part of “a seditious conspiracy to use force to prevent Congress from carrying out its constitutional and statutory duties to count the votes of the Electoral College.”
CNN reported that Biggs and Gosar asked Trump to pre-emptively pardon the insurrections. Trump turned them down.
